presse2.jpg, 102k | | It began in the late 1970s at the height of the German folk revival. In 2004 AVER LIEKERS came back on stage with an impressive program of songs and readings from Hein Hoop, the north German writer, who died in 1986.
AVER LIEKERS - Brigitte Borchers, Sigrid Siemsen, Per Boll, Kay Kankowski and Walter Peetz – are all musicians with many years of stage and life experience.
In the 70s AVER LIEKERS was one of the first German groups to introduce electronic instruments to folk music, but nowadays they exclusively play unplugged and preferably unamplified.
The west coast of Schleswig-Holstein, its characters, wind and weather shape Hein Hoop’s stories, always humorous and tongue in cheek. Whether High or Low German, nearly all texts have been reset and rearranged for this program. AVER LIEKERS take their audience on a musical journey to the dikes, to the fishing smacks in the mudflats and into the locals’ living rooms. The travellers can lean back and look forward to an entertaining concert.
